Cloudapt Threshold
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 14, 2026
Cloudapt Threshold ("Threshold") is the portal Cloudapt, LLC ("Cloudapt", "we") provides at https://threshold.cloudapt.com for the apartment communities where Cloudapt supplies internet service. Property staff, or the property's leasing software on their behalf, use it to move residents in and out, and residents use it to see and change their in-unit WiFi password. This policy explains what Threshold collects, why, and who can see it.
What We Collect
- Resident details entered by property staff at move-in, or sent by the property's leasing software: name, email address, optional phone number, unit, and move-in and move-out dates. When leasing software sends a move-in or move-out, we keep a record of that request and its outcome.
- Account details: email address (which you sign in with), role, and the properties or unit the account can access. Passwords are stored only as a one-way scrambled hash, so no one, including Cloudapt, can read them.
- Google or Microsoft sign-in: if you choose to sign in this way, we receive your account's ID, email address and name from Google or Microsoft. We keep the ID and email address to recognise you next time, and nothing else. We never see your Google or Microsoft password, and we don't access your email, files, contacts or calendar.
- Activity records: sign-ins and actions such as move-ins, move-outs and WiFi password views and changes, with the time and the IP address they came from. WiFi passwords are never written to these records.
- WiFi settings: your unit's network name and password are read from your in-unit WiFi device when you view them. Depending on the property's setup, the current WiFi password may also be saved in Cloudapt's customer records so our support team can help you.
How We Use It
- To set up, run and end internet service for each unit.
- To create, secure and recover accounts, including invitation, password-reset and email-confirmation emails.
- To keep the service secure: spotting misuse, investigating problems and keeping a record of who changed what.
We don't sell personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with advertisers.
Who Can See It
- You can see your own account and, as a resident, your unit's WiFi details.
- Property staff can see residents and activity for the properties they manage.
- The property's leasing software, if the property connects it to Threshold, can see which of that property's units are occupied, the current residents' names, email addresses and move-in dates, and whether the move-ins and move-outs it sent succeeded. It never receives WiFi passwords.
- Cloudapt staff can see everything needed to provide and support the service.
- Service providers that help us run Threshold see only what they need for that job: Google Workspace sends Threshold's emails; Google or Microsoft handle sign-in if you choose them; and Cloudapt's network and customer-management systems and server hosting store the data. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Google User Data
Threshold's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use the Google account information described above only to sign you in to Threshold.
Cookies
Threshold uses one cookie, which keeps you signed in and protects forms against forgery. It expires after 8 hours. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Threshold's fonts and images are served from Threshold itself, so viewing it doesn't contact other companies.
How Long We Keep It
A resident's portal account is turned off when they move out. Account, move-in and move-out details, records of requests from leasing software, and activity records are kept while Cloudapt needs them to provide and secure the service, and to meet legal, accounting and contractual obligations. Backups are kept for up to seven years and then deleted.
Security
Threshold is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, sign-in attempts are rate-limited, and staff see only the properties they're assigned to. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected people of a breach as the law requires.
Your Choices
- Change your password and email address, and connect or disconnect Google or Microsoft sign-in, under My Account.
- To ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected or deleted, contact us at Cloudapt's contact page. Some records may need to be kept for the reasons above.
Children
Threshold accounts are for adult residents and property staff. Threshold isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll also tell account holders by email or in Threshold.
